Is the Fisher Gold Bug Pro good for beginners?

The Gold Bug Pro is capable but requires more hands-on ground balance management than fully automatic machines like the Minelab Gold Monster 1000. For a first gold prospecting machine, the Gold Monster is easier to get productive results from on day one. The Gold Bug Pro rewards detectorists who take time to understand ground mineralization and manual balance - experienced prospectors consistently get excellent results from it.
