Anderson Knob Guard Instructions

Instructions for installing the Anderson Knob Guard.

Your new Anderson knob guard comes with 2 stainless bolts with plastic covers. The covers are to prevent scratching and provide an excellent grip to tighten without tools. The best method for removing the spring pins is to use a long piece of hard wire with a small hook bent onto the end. This will allow you to hook the pin from the inside of the detector shaft while pushing both sides of the pin in from the outside. To install the guard the first and last electronics mounting spring pins must be removed. All three may need to be removed at first then reinstall the middle spring pin that holds the battery in place. Which side the guard will go on will depend on what hand you swing with. Install the provided bolts through the guard, electronics, and detector shaft and tighten until snug. Over tightening may cause damage to electronics housing.
